DJ Dimmy and his passion for music have been unseperable his whole life. At the age of seven, he began his formal musical education and picked up his first tool- the violin. Growing up in Europe, he was constantly exposed to dance music, which became his favorite genre. After moving to the United States, rock and hip-hop took over his CD player. These days, Dimmy has an eclectic taste that encompasses many different genres, as evidenced in his mixes. While he is a dance music DJ, his incorporation of mashups and remixes of hiphop and rock songs are a reflection of his broad musical taste.
Dimmy was inspired to start mixing after attending the Winter Music Conference in Miami. He was captivated by the DJ's ability to make people move, create a unique ambiance and communicate through sound. His first foray into mixing dance music was through weekly mixes for his bootcamp and personal training classes. Dissapointed by quality of workout mixes that were available, Dimmy began to make his own mixes at home. Dimmy's ambition to learn as much as he can, improve his skills and share his love for music with others has fueled his passion for being a DJ.
DJ is available for private, corporate, and bar/lounge/club events.
